Crap'ola | From: Undisclosed Used: 2 to 4 years Comments: There is no such thing as a "stand-alone" Liberty BASIC program. The compiled .TKN file requires the RUN.EXE file in addition to seven (7) .DLL files! What a mess! |
Very Good | From: Brandon Watts Used: 6 months to 2 years Comments: Rating LB was hard because I really like it, but it does have it's limitations. However, everyone should get it. It's my language of choice for making software for my business. There is a great community online that helps you out through your problems and they are really nice. There are many DLL's and tutorials also. I have been using it for almost a year, and have loved it! Get it today! Plus you can check out my website at: http://www.wattsware.com. All of the programs there are in exe form, but if you would like to know how I did a certain thing, e-mail me. |
Fair | From: Undisclosed Used: 6 months to 2 years Comments: Liberty Basic is okay. It allows you to produce windows based programs simply and it is a fairly comprehensive version of basic. Some of the API is tricky to get at and producing "stand alones" is a bit tricky for the beginner. |
